COVID PRAYER OF BISHOP PHIL HUGGINS
Chairman National Council of Churches

“Gracious God, trusting in your providence and presence,
we bring our prayer for an end to this pandemic.
We pray for your strengthening of those offering costly
leadership during this crisis.
We pray for all who are ill.
We pray for those anxious about getting ill.
We pray for those full of grief.
We remember those who have died.
We pray for your grace to sustain us as we do what we can in
our context.
We ask these things, as you encourage us so to do.
‘Ask and it will be given you.’ (Matthew 7:7).
In resurrection faith, we offer our heartfelt prayer through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.”

PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES

S & G are church planting north of Melbourne. Their Missional
Community is mostly meeting via zoom. God has recently impressed on S to preach the word.
They thank God for :-
*a Persian family they helped to baptise, who settled into a nearby church and brought friends to join that church.
*a calming meditation that has been shared with members of the school community where S is chaplain and other resources shared with the community  that can teach the recipients about Jesus in the comfort  of their homes.
   They ask for prayer :-
*that their leadership team may grow in number
*for God’s wisdom and timing as they plan in context of Covid 19
*that they hear and obey the voice of the Spirit as he guides them how to invite others to come to meet the Lord.
