Covid Considerations and Zoom

We are exploring different ways for us to meet for worship in addition to our Sunday pre-recording. We are also considering bringing people together in various groupings to just connect and catch up with each other. All this presumes the ability to do so online, with Zoom seeming to be the most accessible vehicle for this to happen.
I would like to recommend that those who have not yet done so, please install zoom on your computer or device. It is free and is easily found via Google. Just follow the prompts or ring someone for help. This will enable us to initiate interactive ways for us to meet and to worship.

Marriage Course

A great opportunity to strengthen your marriage is the Alpha Marriage Course. Over seven Monday nights online, starting 3 August you are welcome to join locally well-known Baptist Pastor Bill Brown and his wife Julia for this highly recommended marriage ‘in-service’. Details here.

Tanzania Covid Appeal Update

It is exciting to see this appeal continue to creep up. It now stands at $13,975! Thank you for your generosity, which is shared by the people of Craigieburn and other ARDFA supporters. Please pray for further momentum to reach our goal of $25000 and pray for Mecka and his Covid strategy team in their work of education and prevention of the spread of this disease. You can give here.

MADDV – Serving those in need in Dingley
Thankfully, there is somewhere to go for those doing it hard during Covid.
Financial assistance can be received through Make a Difference, Dingley Village. However, Marion of MADDV is desperate for volunteers to assist her in this work as volunteer numbers have recently reduced.
The work is safe as distancing and masks are mandatory. If you have availability of a Weds morning between 9-11 for one day a month or fortnight and would like the joy of making a difference in the lives of people in need, please contact Marion on 0429857509. Thank you!
Thank you too for those continuing to provide Long Life milk for weekly distribution by MADDV. Why not make 4 cartons of milk a regular part of your shopping list as a $5 investment to bless someone in need? God bless you, kind people of CCD.

Prayers
We give thanks for the testimony to Jesus of EH’s life and pray for R and his family in their loss. Please also pray for JS in hospital for tests and operation on a torn shoulder ligament following a fall today. Pray for E, giving thanks that she is home, and pray for the return of strength to her legs in a way that lasts. Continue praying for complete healing and recovery for C, A, JH, J, P and S. Pray for God’s comfort for N and grace upon her witness to the people of her retirement village in great need of Jesus as she has requested.
This Sunday’s Service
This Sunday Tanya brings us another riveting message on a topic that is deceptively simple, yet life changing for those game enough to put it into practice. Chp 6 of the Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Course is ‘Discover the Rhythm of the Daily Office and Sabbath’. Have your bible ready with Daniel 6:6-10 and Exodus 20:1-17 with an openness to hear from God and joyfully obey!

God bless you and ‘see’ you Sunday.

Wayne and Tanya and the staff at CCD.
